Good luck to you gys in getting the pool re-opened. I'm really going to miss it this summer, as the evening swims I enjoyed last year were a wonderful way to train. Keep up the good work and count me in for a membership when they become available.

Well done to all so far. We should be adding sporting facilities for our children, not taking them away. Less payments on moat cleaning and other frivolous MP expenses could save public sports arenas everywhere!

This outdoor pool is wonderful and deserves to be open all year round. How many other towns have such a great facility to offer? I swam there as a child and now take my children - I hope they will be able to take theirs.

Given obesity and related health problems for children I believe the District Council should be prioritising any opportunity to encourage children to take exercise. Libraries are not self funding and yet we don't consider closing them down. Lets have free aqua aerobics and childrens play sessions please.

This pool is great fun for the kids and family in any weather but when the sun shines there is no better place to go. It would be extremely sad to see this iconic place close after so many years of use.

I have enjoyed going to Holywell Mead Pool every summer for as long as I can remember and I would hate to see it go. The location is great, in a large park and there is a nice grassy area by the park to sunbathe (weather permitting). I hope this pool can be saved and opening hours increased.

The pool is a precious facility. It was wonderful to swim there until 9 o'clock p.m. in the summer. I thought it was a shame it closes when the autumn term begins, since we usually get some hot days in September. It is in a wonderful situation and really is unique in this area.

It would be lovely to save this facility. The suggestion of heating the pool and using it all year round is a good one, which would be supported by increased use by local residents. Indoor pools do not offer the same wonderful experience. My kids love swimming in the outdoors. Good luck with your campaign!
