In these times when the government are complaining that our children are not getting enough exercise.....the council decide to close down the pool!!!
This is a much needed community resource. I was a local resident in South London when Brockwell Lido was 'saved' so I know it can be done. I wish your campaign every success and look forward to supporting your cause.

Today was a beautiful sunny day and I was really looking forward to going swimming outside. I happened to Google the pool just to make sure it was open, and was really disappointed and saddened to discover that it had been closed down.

I have always really enjoyed this pool. Please re-open it!

Ginny and John

We live near to the Rye, and have enjoyed the pool many times, especially with our grandchildren.

Why not install a clear roof or cover over the pool, leaving the grassed areas open. It could be used all year round, and would surely pay for itself ?

It is the only open air pool anywhere near to us and our whole family have spent many lovely summer days there. Now that it is closed, it pretty much means driving to the sea side or London if you want to be able to swim outside. Why not advertise it more instead of closing it?

I live just across the road from the pool and I work shiftwork at Heathrow.

Every summer I look forward to spending a couple of hours at the pool after work on a beautiful sunny day. Please keep the pool open!

It would be a tragedy to lose such an asset to our community. It's a great place to go with family or friends. What better way to spend a sunny day in Wycombe?

My kids and I have been using the pool every summer since 1997. It would be such a shame if another part of Wycombe's heritage is lost.

It is very important to maintain local swimming pools as they provide a source of well-being in a community setting.

I was gutted to learn that the outdoor pool would not be open this summer and was at risk of closure. I have really enjoyed using the pool since I have moved to the area and hope that the campaign is a success so I can continue to do so. Good luck!
