As a recent resident of this gorgeous area, I was delighted that we had such a fabulous feature. Then of course utterly dissappointed that it had been closed!! Such a shame and something we should all do our very best to revive! I look forward to hearing more and getting involved to help bring this back to life!! Please make lots of noise about this, everybody will want to be part of it!!

Kind regards,

Paul

Is this pool still open? I'd really like to go, but can't get through to the phone number to find out details...

I was so pleased when I read the article saying that there is a plan to save the pool.
If there is anything that I can do to help with the campaign, I would be more than happy to help.
The pool did not seem to be publicised enough and the Council closed it after two of the coldest summers we have ever had.

We need to keep the pool open. What a waste to close it.

As a nation we should have pride in facilities like Hollywellmead Pool. What a backward step it would be to close such a wonderful asset to our commumity at a time when we are trying to encourage our children to embrace sport leading up to the 2012 Olympics. We should be ashamed of ourselves if we let the pool become nothing more than a memory.

We need this pool to stay open and to open all year round if possible. This should definitely be a priority with the council to keep it open.

It would be a tragedy for this pool to be lost.

I would like to see less money spent on pointless traffic lights and more into this valuable community asset of the town.

Very best of luck in your efforts to re-open the pool; it's such a sad loss to our community. It would be great if parents were allowed to bring 2 children under five, contrary to the old restriction to one adult per child under five, as I felt this excluded a lot of weekday potential pool users, myself included unless my husband had the day off.

With two young children and living close to the Rye we were very upset and angry to hear of Holywell Mead closing. It seems a short sighted and short term decision. Over the half term holiday with the glorious weather they would have been able to make a fortune! I wish the bid to keep it open well.
