There is something special about swimming in a lido - no horrible smell of chlorine for one thing - you can spend a whole day at a lido - you can't at an indoor overheated pool. BRING BACK MY POOL!

Please save this community facility that has been enjoyed by all our children, and we had hoped would be available to our grand children too.

I would be such a shame to remove a valuable facility such as this pool, especially in the run up to the Olympics, when so many young people's interest in the sport will be re-kindled

I would be absolutely devastated to see the pool close. Please save it.

My son and I have spent many happy hours at this pool during the summer holidays when we have not been able to get away on holiday. It has brought us much pleasure over the years and we are both very sorry to see it closed.

Hi
The whole family enjoys using the Holywell Mead open air pool. My husband does not enjoy public indoor pools due to the chlorine effects, but can use outdoor pools. All our friends ask if they can visit next summer to go swimming there with us too.

I hope that the holywell pool will open agaain summer 2010. I and my children have spent many happy days there moreover I hope we can continue to do so in the future. It is madness for the council to take away facilities that improve our lives.

To close this local facility, is a massive loss to the community. I also would like to see this facility reopened, so that all the community can continue to enjoy the pool’s outdoor pleasure.

I really hope we can persuade the WDC to reverse this antisocial/anti-health and fitness decision of closing a valuable facility which I and my children have used over many years and combined with picnics on the lawn. Now that I have retired I would have much more time to go and swim there and also take my grandchildren along. I know that swimming is great exercise for older people who may not want or are unable to exercise many other sports and nothing beats doing it in the open air!
