Our group has ambitious plans that will ensure our pool has a viable future. We will present these plans to Wycombe District Council at the end of the month.

Nice to see some presents for the pool on the internet as the local council appear to have removed all knowledge, it would be nice to find a page on wycombe.gov.uk that just advises that the pool is closed with a link available to send people to this site.
On a sad note….. This lovely hot weather in Maidenhead and I wanted to take the family to the Holywellmead Pool today. Never mind my kids will just have to play with the watering can in the garden…. All the money that the government wastes and we can’t even keep a local Lido open…
Sad.
Until I heard about this site I thought that the pool was gone for good and that there was no hope of a possible re-opening.
I learnt to swim in this pool and used it through out my childhood. Spending many wonderful summer’s swimming there with family and friends. My daughter was most dissapionted that she can no longer use it. Every time we walk around the Rye she ask’s me if we can have one more swim? So it’s loss is felt by young and old.
Just a little modernisation and it could once again be as packed as it always was. Well done for putting this information out there and all your hard work. Fingers crossed for re-opening the pool.
